The Discord Moderator Academy is a comprehensive resource of digital safety and moderation education where moderators can learn about moderation, community management, and more.

My contributions to the DMA were mainly in researching the topics through gap analyses to determine where our education topics were lacking. This information was used to push the most important and least covered topics to the forefront, such as political extremism, exploitative content, and self-harm. This research assisted in support for Discord to partner with Crisis Text Line to provide support for users in self-harm situations.

Other contributions to the DMA included procedural questions related to the grading and processing of DMA exam results, as this is a pipeline into another one of our programs, the Discord Moderator Discord.
